Maggie Kilgour, the literature professor, seems like she would be an absolute scream to have as a professor. She seems energetic as heck, pretty witty, and very passionate about her discipline. Those professors are always delightful.

The thing is most of these reviews are just listing criticisms of their character and not actually any objective facts of genuine things the teachers did that created a barrier to your learning e.g. not available during office hours, doesn’t reply to emails or took unreasonable amount of time to reply, or actual displays of toxic or offensive or abusive behaviour, or refusal to explain course content in alternative ways, or refusing learning accommodations, or really chronically late to class or going over class time.
